...Rising Water Levels on Rivers Draining the Brooks Range... Several weather fronts moving across the northeast Brooks Range will bring rising water levels to rivers and streams. Rainfall totals from 0.75 to 1.50 inches are possible between Wednesday and Friday. Some isolated locations could see higher amounts. At this time, water levels are expected to remain within bank and below flood stage. Those traveling and recreating on rivers and streams draining the northeast Brooks Range are encouraged to monitor water levels since some exposed gravel bars could become inundated due to runoff from the rainfall. |
